Velodyne: It's a Small World After All

While looking for Lidar in all the wrong places, sometimes there's a surprise. I was prepping for a Second Friday Artwalk at our Alameda studio only to see a Lidar equipped car in our parking lot.

I happened to have a camera handy in the studio and hurried in to grab it and catch a few snaps. I had a chat with the guys working on the vehicle only to find that our neighbors include Velodyne! Velodyne is the premiere Lidar maker. I thought they were based in South San Jose, but turns out they have an important office right nextdoor!
