Cruise Automation in San Francisco

Yesterday I spent a couple hours doing the Paparazzi to the self driving car routine. This round was Cruise Automation in San Francisco's SOMA neighborhood. It's a neighborhood I know well, or more accurately knew well back in the 1990's when I lived on Potrero Hill and worked down the street from the Cruise Automation HQ (which of course wasn't to be for a couple decades...)

Cruise automation was purchased by General Motors not long ago. They have a fleet of Bolt electronic vehicles that are easy to spot due to the big Velodyne Lidars sticking out of the top. Each vehicle I saw had a goofy name including: Red Wolf, Beluga, Caracal, and Antelope.

In any case below are a few photos. I plan to head back and get some more variety.
